Tschingelhörner and Martinsloch in Summer Martinsloch and Tschingelhörner in Winter

Welcome to my virtual studio

This is where I can share my passion for mountain landscape and wild natural places with others who are excited by the beauty of light and colour, shape and form, and the diversity of the scenery all around us. Although I use photography to capture the raw material, the definitive medum of my artistic expression is through paint and brush on canvas. Enjoy your visit!

Please come in and look around

Back to the Bernese Oberland! - This year the Guild's 21st Annual Exhibition was held in Unterseen by Interlaken, in the heart of the Bernese Oberland. Good reason then to revisit some of my favourite viewpoints and renew acquaintance with the magnificent peaks overlooking the valley of Grindelwald. It was deep winter when we tobogganed down from Alpiglen and the Wetterhorn stood aloof in almost monochrome majesty. The Finsteraarhorn (left) and Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau (right) were bathed in the glorious light of a golden autumn afternoon, with the rising moon adding a celestial dimension to the scene.

I'm delighted to say that all three paintings were accepted for the exhibition, which opened on Saturday 12th August and ran until Sunday 3rd September. For further details please see the Guild website at www.gsbm.ch.
